Seeing Your Life through the Lens of the Gospels - John 1: 29-34

John 1: 29-34
John the Baptist's ministry culminates not in his own followers, but in pointing decisively to Jesus: ‘Look, the Lamb of God!' This challenges our own tendencies to build personal or denominational platforms. Does my life and worship ultimately point people towards my own tradition, or directly to Christ, the one true source of salvation for all?
John identifies Jesus as the one ‘who takes away the sins of the world.' His mission is universal and not limited to any one group. As we pray for Christian Unity, we must remember we are united by our shared need for this Lamb. We also share a Pope Francis taught, a witness in blood. D I see other hristians first as competitors or as fellow sinners redeemed by the same, singular Saviour?
John testifies that he saw the Spirit cone down from heaven and remain on Jesus. This same Spirit is poured out on the entire diverse body Christ. Our unity is not human achievement but a spiritual reality we are called to maintain. Do I actively rely on the Spirit to bridge divides and foster genuine fellowship with believers from other traditions?
John's role was to testify so that Jesus ‘might be revealed,' Our shared calling is the same.
Christian unity is essential for credible mission. How can I actively collaborate wit other Christians in my community to jointly testify to the reality of Christ, demonstrating that He is greater then our divisions?
