  1. OPENING PRAYER

  3. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING 6TH MAY 2025

  4. MATTERS ARISING NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA
    No: 6 PB attend CCPS & NC FHC preparations

  5. PARISH/DIOCESE SAFEGAURDING
    New representative agreed, just waiting for references to return.
    Safeguarding Officer to visit the parish in September - October.

  6. PREPARATION OF SACRAMENTS OF THE EUCHARIST REVIEW
    Meeting arranged for 17th July.

  7. FAITH ALIVE UPDATE
    PB attended FHC sessions inviting parents to the next meeting. No parent attended that meeting.
    Last meeting was poorly attended. A good chat with those in attendance. Discussion on do we need the group or something else. Sad that parents did not attend. Should we go out to where the people are not expecting them to come to us. Possible add this onto the Sacraments preparation sessions.
    Faith Alive programme involving the PPC with all the various groups in the parish.
    Set up a system so people can get together on the computer.
    The new parish census forms to be given out at school. These to be given out when school returns in October and returned to the parish via church, school or office within 3 weeks.
    Stating all information will be for parish use only.
    We are a vibrant parish but how do we get parishioners more involved.
    Possible have a PPC email address. Approach the Diocese to see if this is possible.
    Parish meeting 6th September 1pm to 3.pm - 20th September 10am to 12noon
    LEGION OF MARY - Awaiting safeguarding to confirm the activities of the Legion.

  8. REPORT LIVE SIMPLY - handout report from the person who attended the meeting. Parish have installed solar panels on the Newman Centre. CCPS are doing a lot of recycling. Ask Carits to get involved with the parish.
    Facebook is out of date - Snapchat is the thing to use.

  9. PARISH EVENTS CALENDAR YEAR DISLAYED See No: 7

  10. PPC HOLY HOUR/SOCIAL ON JUNE 3RD 2025 IN ST CHURCH THEN MEAL REVIEW - a prayerful evening followed by a meal together.
    Consider other groups to say thanks you. Have already taken out - SVP - Catechists - Stewards

  11. PARISH BLESSED SACRAMENT PROCESSION FOR JUBILEE YEAR JUNE 29TH CC REVIEW
    Poor attendance at the Blessed Sacrament procession. PW trying to find out why the school gates were not opened into the carpark. 2 children who made the FHC attended.
    Next year consider the procession is on the same weekend on the FHC. Possibly not a good date due to families has their own celebrations after the FHC Masses.

  12. JUBILEE YEAR-PILGRIMS OF HOPE Parish Masses: Themes for Masses in September to December. Dates to be considered.

  13. PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO LEEDS CATHEDRAL FOR JUBILEE YEAR 11th OCTOBER
    Meeting at the Cathedral at 11.30am.

  14. PARISH FEAST DAY OCTOBER CELEBRATION/FAITH SUPPER 11th October in the Newman centre

  15. PARISH CENSUS 2025 FOR JUBILEE YEAR - SEE no: 7

  16. ANY OTHER BUSINESS - Faith Alive points for discussion.
    • During Mass introduce yourself to the person next to you.
    • It was suggested to have a person read out the notices each week in place of the priest at Sunday Mass. This will be discussed by the clergy of the parish at their next meeting.
    • Clergy to go out and meet the people out in the community. Coffee shops in the shopping centre. Outside the primary schools. Clergy already visit parishioners in their homes who are sick and who request to have a visit at home. The CFR Sisters see parents outside CCPS. Each of the 3 schools of the parish have clergy chaplains who visit the pupils and staff and were possible meet the parents when they are in school.

    It was asked what is "Faith Alive". Thought it was a group of likeminded people getting together to discuss their faith together. Now seems to be providing input to the PPC group. Was this the original intention?
