Data Protection changes

Following the introduction of the new GDPR in May 2018 our Diocese has implemented a number of changes. The one that affects us all is that the "Parish Registration" form held by the parish in paper form and on the Parish Date Base for PARISH USE ONLY must be signed allowing us to hold this information.
Each family (household) is asked to take a new form and complete it, sign it and return it to church and drop it in the box provided or into the parish office or the presbytery as soon as possible.
The importance of this new form is that it has to be signed by all members of the household over the age of 13 years.
This is not just a Diocese or Parish request but it is now law that any information held about anybody, by anybody must have the individuals permission i.e. signature.
Ideally the parish data base should have every household's details.
If you know of someone who is housebound could you please take a form to them and this will allow the clergy to know where they are and make a visit.
We consider that everyone who attended any of our 3 churches is a valued member of the parish family and we need to know
"who you are and where you live".
All the other forms previously completer in the past will be destroyed after the 31st December 2018.
Tales from Corpus Christi - Ken's computer is broken. Please say a prayer for a quick repair. Hopefully back next week.
