Who Has All The Answers?
Read 1231 Times
Imagine you're a child once again, sitting in a classroom studying astronomy. You've recently read all about the Americans who sent a spaceship and landed on the moon and for the first time, an "earthling" actually walked on the surface of the moon. Then imagine all the questions you would be asking the teacher about space travel and the surface of the moon and if there was any life there. The teacher would answer all your questions as best they could, but they would have lacked the complete knowledge, because they hadn't been there. The next day by chance Neil Armstrong enters the classroom, you ask the same questions you asked your teacher, but this time Armstrong answers each question with certainty, conviction and authority. He knows all about the moon, its surface and its atmosphere, because he's been there and walked on it.
Jesus also speaks with conviction and authority; he teaches as one with authority, he knows the dimensions of heaven, he knows all the saints and angels. He has unrivalled knowledge of God and he wants to share his knowledge with us; No one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal to them. Jesus asks us, "Let me teach you and you will find rest for your souls." "Let me teach you how to handle your money, your marriage, and your mood swings. Let me teach you how to live the right way on earth and how to go to heaven when you die."
The age of information sometimes becomes the age of confusion; we need answers to questions that no one has, no one except Jesus. So how can we be so sure that Jesus does in fact have all the right answers in our troubled lives? Well, there is only one way to find out and that is by turning to him in prayer.
"All things are possible to him who believes." (Mark 9)
