Corpus Christi Primary
After the success of last year's BIG GET TOGETHER (BGT) we are doing it all again. This year to be held in the grounds of Corpus Christi Primary School on Sunday 9th July. It's a great day where everyone comes together to celebrate an outdoor mass; have a picnic and lots of fun. We would like everyone across the parish and school to be involved in the celebration.
Pupils from Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School were invited to St. Anne's Cathedral to attend a Good Shepherd Service which supports Catholic Care. Money raised in school through Lenten activities e.g. selling juice and biscuits, crazy hair day and a host of other activities, was given as a cheque to Bishop Marcus.
The children's behaviour was excellent and after the service they were all taken out to lunch.
A good time was had by all!
By the time you read this the following events will have taken place:
18th Jun : Our First Holy Communion children will celebrate this event in church at 10.30am followed by a Communion breakfast in the school hall.
25th Jun : First Holy Communion Thanksgiving Mass and party at St. Theresa's Church, Station Road, Crossgates, LS15 7JY.
28-30 Jun Year 6 pupils on their annual Residential Trip to Grinton; let's hope the weather was kind to them.
The Year 6 netball team attended a cluster High Five tournament at Corpus Christi Catholic College. They played with great enthusiasm and displayed an excellent sporting attitude. The team finished runners up in the overall tournament.
Well done team Corpus!
The Year 3 & 4 football team had their final matches in their league and we came joint second overall for the whole year. They showed a great attitude, teamwork and skill and were great ambassadors for our school. Well done!
Classes 4 & 5 participated in the Jump Rope for Heart event which raised money for The British Heart Foundation. Thank you to everyone who sponsored the children to raise money for this fantastic cause.
Corpus Christi Year 2 Leeds City CHAMPIONS!!
Although school is closed for the holidays, our Year 2 skipping team came in to school to attend the finals of the skipping Competition at Leeds Beckett University and they've only gone and won!
