Busy as always! We have had a great start to the year so far! It has been very busy in school as always but the children have settled very well and everyone seems very happy in school. We had a beautiful opening Mass for our young people to celebrate both the Harvest and the Feast of St. Theresa. Those of you who attended the Mass will agree that it was a wonderful celebration of all that is great about our school. We also welcomed our new Reception children into school as well as welcoming Fr. Pat back into our community... it’s great to have you back with us Father.
Sporting Update: I know lots of you like to keep up to date with what is happening sporting wise in school. We have started our Sportshall Athletics campaign again this year and the children in both the main and the shadow squads have been training hard for their respective competitions.

The main squad has already won their local heat and will now go on to the next stage of the City-wide competition. Our school also won a prestigious award from the Active Schools team for whole school impact. This award was presented by Johnny Brownlow at the inaugural Active Schools’ Awards Ceremony. We are understandably very proud of our achievements and it is great to recognise the incredible hard work our young people put in as well as our wonderful staff.
Mr Morgan: I know lots of you will know Mr Morgan and some of you that are reading this will have been taught by him or been in his rugby teams. Mr Morgan has secured a new position at Calverley Parkside and he left us just after October half-term. He had also not been with us in Autumn 1 because he broke his leg in the summer! Regardless, we wish him well and hope that he will not be a stranger! Mr Ryan is currently covering his class.
And finally, we are now busy, busy planning for Advent and Christmas, always a very exciting and happy time in school. God bless.
Until next time, yours in Christ,
John Hutchinson, Head
