Crossgates needs you!
Here are three ways we are making a difference in Crossgates... come and join with us!

1. Cielo Coffee House
“Emily” poured out the frustrations she faced in her home life and business when a member of staff asked how she was...the tears flowing down her cheeks proved how much she needed to talk that day.

There are lots of similar stories beginning to emerge from the new café which opened in December. We now have 40 volunteers who help create a friendly environment & build relationships. A number of community groups are already beginning to meet here.

Could you meet someone there who needs to get out of the house? Would you consider starting a group there - Knitting? Crafts? A Book club? If you would like to help please get in touch!

2. Our NEW Community Space!
In January, we were given the FREE use of the old Godson’s travel shop. It will be a place for publicising community info, events and groups. All sorts of groups will be able to use the facilities to offer things like
counselling / listening services, debt help, parenting courses, craft activities etc.

What do YOU want to see? We need VOLUNTEERS to staff the office a few hours a day.
Can you help? Watch out for a volunteer meeting soon!

3. SPACE Youth Group
A team with youth work experience is forming to launch a new group in May. This fun activity based club for children 11-16 with a “God slot” will work in partnership with all the local churches. We need more helpers and people to spread the word to young people.
