Marriage preparation is available to help engaged couples prepare for their lives together as a married couple.
Marriage and family life are the basis of our society and church community. The course aims to help couples prepare for the commitment of marriage, and to deepen their awareness of this commitment to each other and to God.
The aim is for the engaged couples to explore their relationship with each other, to take time out to discuss what they hope for their future lives together, and explore what marriage means to them.
We explore; Communication, Conflict, Personality and Influences of family of origin, the gift of sexuality, intimacy and family life, and living the Sacrament.
The course is one evening a week for 2 hours, for 5 weeks and ideally should be completed around 6 months prior to the wedding.
If you intend to marry, please contact Mary Gairn, the parish coordinator who will pass on your details to us.
