We offer young people the opportunity to meet up and chill in the safe and friendly environment of the Newman Centre. There is access to table tennis, indoor tennis, pool, music, tuck shop and much more. There are regularly in excess of 30 young people attending each Friday – this number is made up of both boys and girls.

The Group meets every Friday from 7pm until 8.30pm during term time and is open to all young people aged 11 to 15 without exception. All we expect from them is compliance with the few general rules we have regarding conduct and behaviour and in return we promise a hassle free time.

On first attendance it is necessary for the young person to be accompanied by a parent or guardian so a consent form can be completed.

The Group is run by a number of friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers, all of whom have been through the Diocesan Safeguarding checks. We welcome new volunteers - no previous experience necessary - just an ability to get along with young people and a desire to be part of a rare and rewarding opportunity.
