THE ROSARY

Read 1712 Times
The Rosary combines two kinds of prayer:
meditation on the events of the life of Jesus and their meaning for our salvation.;
and a pattern of repeated prayers that lead us into a deep rhythm of mind and heart fixed on God.

The story of salvation is grouped in four sets of events
or Mysteries:

The Joyful Mysteries include the birth of Jesus and his early life

The Mysteries of Light focus on important events in his life and teaching

The Sorrowful Mysteries ask us to meditate on the Passion and Death of Our Lord

The Glorious Mysteries celebrate the Resurrection and the Restoration of mankind in Christ

Praying the Rosary in October becomes a way of thinking about the story of God’s love shown to us in Christ, and lets us pause to learn again from each of its key moments.
