KNIGHTS OF ST COLUMBA

Read 2984 Times
The Knights of St Columba is a national organisation. Leeds area members are based in this Parish.

It is a lay Order of Catholic men of all ages who have pledged to support the Church and clergy - working together in parishes in an effort to play a full part in the Lay Apostolate with an aim to develop all aspects of our faith.

Our former Pope stated that members of the Order should not be afraid to be a lone voice in promoting Christian values.

Members give service in the community; do charitable work; support families and young people; work with other organisations and are involved in poster campaigns and much more.

Locally, the Order raises funds for such as the HCPT and Aid to the Church in Need; organises Youth Painting Competitions / Retreats; is involved in Poster / 'Keep Christ in Christmas' sticker campaigns and in various representation campaigns as well as assisting at major religious events at Leeds Cathedral and elsewhere.

Meetings are held monthly at the Newman Centre.
