The Justice and Peace Group will be attending the Parish ‘Open Day' on 20th April. We hope to promote the work of the group and the following points will be made:

• The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7.15pm.
• The work of the group involves
-
• Addressing all issues of 'Justice and Peace' at home and abroad. Letters are written to Government Ministers and M.P's
• Support is given to the 'Food Bank' scheme and 'Aid to the Church in Need'
• We have, at Corpus Christi, a 'Peru Bottle' to support the Missions in that country
• We encourage local supermarkets in promoting 'FAIR TRADE' and publicity is given to them
• We address the issues of 'Racial Equality' when they arise
• The Leeds Justice and Peace Commission is supported where necessary
  
• CAFOD envelopes are distributed at Corpus Christi
• We have an annual Mass for the intentions of the group at the Holy Family Convent, Selby Road

We hope the day is a success.
