St Gregory's Credit Union: there will be no collections points open over Easter weekend Sat 19th/Sun 20th/ Mon 21st April. Apologies for the late notification. The office (at St Gregory's Presbytery) will be manned on Tuesday 22nd April between 10-11am.
Vocations to the Priesthood: Could this be YOU or someone you know? See poster in each church. Pick up a prayer card and pray the prayer daily for Vocations to the Priesthood. Something we can ALL do.
Parish Faith Alive, The next meeting is Thursday 24th April in the Newman Centre Lounge. 7pm. A great way to start the Easter season. It's a chance for us as a parish to get together, have a catch up over a cuppa and enjoy sharing how our faith is going in our day to day lives. It's a very relaxed and friendly group, hope to see you there.
Second Collection 26th & 27th April for the students at Corpus Christi College who are travelling with the Diocese on the annual Lourdes Pilgrimage in July.
Bernard Morrison RIP - Bernard's Requiem Mass will be at St Benedict's on Friday 2nd May at 11am followed by refreshments in the church hall. All are welcome to join Maureen & Family.
Crowning of the statue of Our Lady - will take place at the 9am - 10.15am & 10.30am Masses on the 4th May.

First Holy Communion: If you have a child in year 4 and above who has made their First Confession it is now time to register for their First Holy Communion. Letters to Corpus Christi & St Theresa's the primary school children have gone out inviting parents to a meeting. If your child goes to any other school, please contact the parish as soon as possible.
Parish Pilgrimage to Walsingham - Saturday 27th September. If you have registered to go to Walsingham, can you please pay your £35 each to the parish office, which includes a fish and chip supper on your way home. Packed lunch will be needed. Places still available.

Blessing of Homes in the Parish during Easter season - The season is 50 days from Easter Sunday until Pentecost on the 8th June. This is an old practise, but it is thought could happen in the parish again this year. If you would like your house blessed, please email on

Solo Recital by Nadia Dotsiak (professional musician from Ukraine) student at Royal Musical University Manchester. Will perform at St. Augustine's Catholic Church on
Wednesday 23rd April 2025 at 6.30pm to support St. Augustine's in raising funds for the painting of the inside of the Church and also to highlight the present situation in Ukraine.
