Dates for your diary! Leeds Newman Festival
During 22nd -26th September our parish will host a series of events to celebrate the imminent canonisation of Blessed John Henry Newman.
Please pop these dates in your diary so you can attend:
* Sun 22nd - Parish Pilgrimage to Birmingham Oratory
(coach departing 12.30pm, returning 8.30pm)
* Mon 23rd Talk by Fr Dennis Cassidy, 7pm
* Tue 24th Talk by Fr Richard Duffield, 7pm
* Wed 25th Talk by Mgr Rod Strange, 7pm
* Thu 26th Pontifical Mass celebrated by Bishop Marcus Stock, 7pm
* We are also looking at the possibility of putting on a "Come and Sing" event, open to all, which will go through parts of The Dream of Gerontius. More details to follow!
If you are part of a family and everyone is, you are most welcome come to a short discussion on how we might set up Family Groups in the Parish, this will be after the 9:15 Mass at Saint Gregory's, on the 19th of May and will be held in the church, following Mass

Petitions for Lourdes: The parish travel to Lourdes on Saturday 25th May. If you would like a petition taking to the Grotto of Our Lady in Lourdes please drop it into the office in an envelope marked "Lourdes Petition".

St Gregory's Grounds: Following the sudden death of Dave Rowson. Dave kept the grounds at St Gregory's church in beautiful condition we are now seeking help in cutting the grass and maintaining the grounds to the same standard. If you can help please ring the parish office on 2645260. The more help the better.
Thank you to these parishioners who have increased their weekly or monthly offertory giving either by cash or standing order.
Counting the people who attend Mass at the weekend: Thank you to all who do this service every weekend at all our Masses. Please continue with this exercise. The information is very useful.
Leeds Cathedral is to hold the second LEEDS INTERNATIONAL ORGAN FESTIVAL this summer. Between 13th May and 10th July, organists young and old will have the opportunity to hear, meet and perform alongside renowned international concert organists who will join the local resident team. A range of music from Bach to theatre organ repertoire will be played on the Cathedral's magnificent Klais organ, with other events in Huddersfield and Ossett, showcasing some of the finest instruments in West Yorkshire. DIOCESE OF LEEDS - FOUNDATIONS IN FAITH: A Course of Catholic Faith Formation for catechists, teachers and anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. The course incorporates the Catholic Certificate in
Religious Studies (CCRS) and begins at Hinsley Hall in September 2019. There will be an information evening about the course at Hinsley Hall on Tuesday 11th June from 7:00 - 8:30pm. To book a place or for further information please contact Emma on 0113 261 8040 or email@example.com
