Confirmation 11th February 2020: If your child will be in year 6 or above from September 2019 and attends any other school than the Catholic schools of the parish and would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation then please pick up an application form from the church porch of any of our 3 churches and return it to the office return it to the office as soon as possible. MASS FOR ALTAR SERVERS: Sat 21st Sept 2019, Leeds Cathedral, 12:00 Noon. All Diocesan altar servers are welcome to attend. Those attending will need to bring their albs/cassocks and cottas and gather in Wheeler Hall by 11.40am. Also, please bring a picnic lunch which will be eaten in Wheeler Hall following the Mass. Poster on church notice board.

LIVING WITH LOSS RETREAT PART 2: 6th to 8th September 2019. Led by Abi May, this retreat is intended for those who would like a follow up from Part 1. The offering for this is £173. 'Love Begets Life' - Wednesday 21/08/19 A talk by Sister Roseann Reddy from the Sisters of the Gospel of Life, a charity dedicated to helping women keep their babies will take place after the 7pm Mass at St Augustine's RC Church, Harehills followed by refreshments. All welcome.

Sr Catherine, from the Franciscan Sisters, has received a new assignment and will be returning to New York on the 3rd September. The Sisters will be welcoming Sr. John Paul back to St Clare's Convent on the 6th September. Sr. Catherine is very grateful to the priests and parishioners for their support and prayers since they arrived in the parish 8 years ago. "Let us continue to pray for one another"


Date for your diary: DOWRY TOUR: From Thursday 7th November, 4pm, until Saturday 9th November, 1pm, the statue of Our Lady of Walsingham will be at Leeds Cathedral. There will be a range of liturgical celebrations and devotions throughout the visit, including Mass, the Rosary, processions, talks and a display telling the story of English Catholic history in images and words. A full programme will be available soon.

Celebration of Married Life: On Saturday 5th October 2019, there will be a special Celebration Mass for Married Life at Leeds Cathedral at 6pm for couples and their families celebrating their 25th (Silver), 40th (Ruby), 50th (Golden), 60th (Diamond) and 70th (Platinum) wedding anniversaries this year, 2019. The Mass will fulfil the Sunday Obligation and there will be an opportunity for couples, who wish to do so, to renew their marriage vows during the liturgy. If you are celebrating the anniversary of your wedding and you would like to take part in this celebration, please fill out the application form which is available at the back of church and send it to Miss Anne Cooke, Bishop's House, 13 North Grange Road, Leeds, LS6 2BR or email it to bishop@dioceseofleeds.org.uk by Tuesday, 10th September.
