'I am the light of the world' says the Lord.
Read 1601 Times
We all need light in our lives. We need to be able to work our way forward using our Faith and the light supplied to us by Christ. Our lives can be complicated by the needs of others and our own insecurities. Our confidence, in the love that God has for us, can be lessened by our feelings of not being worthy or that we are not good enough. Sometimes we are so busy looking back at our past that we are unable to focus on our future.
Take for example when you drive a car you are meant to sit in the front and watch the road and everything else that appears in front of the headlights. Red lights at the back are meant to warn anybody coming from behind that we are in front of them. So too in our spiritual lives we can learn from the mistakes of the past but we must, by following the light of Christ, face the future and the new challenges they bring.
So leave the past where it is and concentrate on the journey you and Christ can take together into the future. Did He not say 'Come follow me' . Learn to forgive yourself for past mistakes and walk with confidence into the future with Christ.
